On our first night in Venice we ate at Al Ponte del Megio. It was in a picture perfect location right on a small canal near a bridge. Nothing like eating your meal as you watch the gondolas float by.
We sat under the awning. Beyond perfect.
The food was nothing fancy, just basic good Italian trattoria food. We started with a huge plate of cold meats.

Veal Marsala
Amazing how simple food becomes so special when you eat it in the such a perfect location!
